Memory
I think that the mind itself is a very complex, yet interesting creation. The mind encodes information, stores the information and finally retrieves inforamtion when needed. At times I wwonder how does the mind do such a process. I think that the mind is a very powerful thing that shouldn't go to waste. One of things I learned while studying all the aspects of "memory" is that out minds can go through aource amnesia which is attributing to the wrong source an event that we have experienced, heard about, read about, or imagine. Another aspect of memory that I thought related to me is the topic chunking. From previous experience, I can honestly day that chunking inforamtion i a very limited amount of time can cause you to not remember as much as you intended to remember. Also, from previous experience i learned to rehearse information for a lengthy period of time instead of a short period of time so that i may be able to remember informatio. I think that the strategies given on pages 381-382 really helps in improving meomry iteself.
